The research interest is aimed at understanding the neural basis of defensive behavior toward predatory and social threats, as well as social aggressive behavior and predatory hunting. To this end they combine behavioral, neuronal immediate early gene activation, cytotoxic lesion, pharmacological manipulation and neuroanatomical track tracing experiments.
